Leaving Retirement to Start a Nonprofit

In this segment you will learn about Pam’s transition through retirement and the inside scoop about starting and running a nonprofit.

When her daughter found out she couldn’t conceive, the whole family was hurled into the world of infertility, high costs and frustration. Pam was surprised at the lack of resources for families facing infertility. At of this, she and her daughter decided to start the Baby Quest Foundation.

In addition to discussing the challenges and rewards of starting a nonprofit, Pamela also discusses the role of serving on a board of directors. Not every former corporate executive wants to start a nonprofit, but many are interested in learning more about serving on a board
