Looking for Guest Bloggers and Experts in Retirement and Aging

Be a guest blogger or retirement expertDo you have a story to tell to retirement age baby boomers? Do you have an interesting hobby, rewarding volunteer activity or exciting travel experience you would like to share with others? Over 150 people have contributed articles to RetireWOW.com on a wide range of topics.

Our most prolific contributor is Warren Stortroen has traveled the world with Earthwatch Institute and chronicled his travels for our readers. On the other hand, my friend Adele wrote one article about her Three Hundred Dollar Tomato.

Each of us has our stories to share. That is one of the reasons blogging has become so popular. Not everyone wants to take on the time or commitment of writing a daily blog. With RetireWOW.com, you can contribute as often or little as you like. We are looking for stories that inform about the retirement experience or inspire others to push boundaries, take risks, and live life more fully.

The blog post should be at least 400 words of original* (not already posted on the Internet) content. The article should provide information of interest to people in their fifties and sixties who are five years on either side of retirement. The article can not include outbound links.

If you are an author who has written a book for aging baby boomers, we’d love to hear from you. There are a number of articles you can write to help people know about your book. Author Erica Manfred shared articles about her divorce book for women. You can also be interviewed on our blog talk radio show.

In addition to the article, you should also provide an brief author bio, with corresponding links, if appropriate. An example can be found at the bottom of this article.  Social Entrepreneurship .  Appropriate photo jpg’s are also appreciated.

We are also looking for experts who have a service, book or other product of special interest to those transitioning into retirement. As an expert, you will have a profile, as well as the opportunity to post upcoming events on the website. We ask you to submit an article once a month (not already posted on the Internet), that doesn’t promote a product or service. If you have an expertise in finance, nutrition, exercise, relationships, work or other activity, we’d like to share with our readers.

  1. I’d like to write about the ideal house from a woman’s point of view. In retirement the ideal house should have:
    Laundry near the kitchen
Tile and wood floors for ease of cleaning
Porches front and back yards for friendly gathering with tea/coffee
    A small garden
An open concept with a great room and a shared fireplace
    Fireplace (gas) in the bedroom
    Large, light-filled windows
    No HOA fees
    Brick/stone construction
    Walking, riding, exercising areas nearby
Interior soft colors of light grey and mocha with white trim
A mud room near the laundry
An open kitchen with gas stovetop and lots of granite counters
Large closets that are organized and with shelves and drawers
    2,200 ft of interior space
    2-car garage
Air conditioning, humidity built on furnace
Easy care outside short bushes that welcome birds, bees
    Cost: under $300,000
    Near grandchildren
Low cost living in a warm climate
Senior centers with Silver Sneakers (free group exercise)
A college that welcomes seniors nearby
    Churches, museums, shops

    Thanks for listing this.
